Weekender bags are a stylish way to pack for a short trip.  With so many on the market, how do you know which one to buy.

Under $50

According to reviews, this bag is well made and can fit a lot of items.  This bag also offers a shoe compartment, which I love. The Canvas Overnight Bag Travel Duffel is available on Amazon and comes in right around $50 ($53 for most colors/styles). The biggest reason I am opposed to weekenders, is because I really do not like my shoes in the same bag as my clothes.  This bag is made of canvas and leather, making it heavier than some of the other options.  It comes in multiple colors, making it a good choice if you’re shopping for yourself, your husband or as a gift for anyone on your list!

The MyMealivos Canvas Weekender Bag($40), gets amazing reviews and comes in WELL under $50.  Many of the reviews list everything that can be fit into this bag and with a separate shoe compartment, it makes it a great choice.  The bag has seven total compartments so everything stays nice and organized.  There are three color options, two are more feminine, one being a brown leather which makes these great options for couples.

The Dinictis 40L Carry On distinguishing factor is the easy to access laptop pocket. This bag is made of easy to clean nylon. It has well padded shoulder straps and comes in multiple colors.  This is a great choice for the men in your life.  Maybe should add this to my Father’s Day gift guide!?

Under $100

This bag also tops the charts, the Beis Weekender Travel Tote ($98).  It comes in two classic colors, black and beige.  It’s made from water resistant canvas and offers a shoe compartment, which is a must have for me!  You can’t go wrong with this classic bag and it comes in right under $100.

I have used the Vera Bradley Cotton Grand Weekender for years and love the print I have, the soft sides, the comfortable handles and length of the strap.  It’s a little small for a true weekend trip and usually gets used as a carry on for me.  I used it comfortably as a bag to pack when heading to the hospital to have my babies 🙂 Depending on what color/pattern you want, the price varies between $85-$115.

I cannot believe this bag comes in under $100!  It’s truly beautiful. The Sole Society March Weekender is offered in two colors, black and indie red.  It’s made of faux leather and adorned with beautiful gold hardware.  It’s the perfect accessory for chic, stylish travel.

A basic search found that this Weekender tops many of the lists, Peak Design Travel Duffle ($129).  It’s made of nylon which makes it weather proof and easy to clean, which gets my vote (eek, I shudder to think of how gross airplanes are). Nylon bags are also durable, which to me, means you can over pack and the bag can handle it 🙂 It has a large zipped opening with 2 internal pockets and 4 external pockets. It’s a really attractive bag, offered in classic black or sage.  I would carry this bag and I know my husband would like it as well, which speaks to it’s versatility.

This bag is on my forever wish list the Rambler Expandable Duffle Bag ($169). It’s beautiful. This bag is made from nylon and faux leather. It has a top zip and several pockets inside.  This bag does not have a shoe compartment, but it appears fairly large.  It comes in black only and is available at Nordstrom.

Patagonia bags get great reviews and they donate 1% of its annual sales to the nonprofits that support environmental solutions. This Black Hole MLC Recycled Polyester Convertible Duffle Bag is made from recycled polyester and is water repellent.  A two way zipper, handles that can be used as a backpack and a carry strap, make this a great bag!

$200 and up

Eeeekk….this bag is truly beautiful!  The Cuyana Triple Zipper Weekender is made of canvas and leather. The canvas is made from sustainable cotton and the leather is real Italian leather. It boasts three zippered compartments for the best organization. It’s durable and beautiful, what else could you ask for?!

Kids Bags

We have purchased all our kids Pottery Barn Kids duffles before they were born.  I needed them to have cute bags for coming home from the hospital…duh!  We have the Mackenzie bags, which are currently on sale.

If you prefer backpack style for your kids, Crate and Barrel has the best kids backpacks.  My daughter has the sweetest backpack from their collection a couple years ago, it’s no longer available. But i’m loving the camo for my boys! Check out their selection.

I hope you find the perfect weekender!  There is something for everyone on this list!  Let me know what you think by dropping a comment.
